Record the Innocence
This project delves into exploring theories of spatial perception, definition, and organization. Drawing inspiration from the Palais Bulles by Antti Lovag, my concept revolves around the captivating use of baby pink hues and the interconnectedness resembling bubbles, evoking a surreal ambiance. Inspired by the innocence and fearlessness of children amidst the conventional world, I initiate material experimentation. Opting for soap infused with wax as the final model material, I capitalize on its semi-transparency and the ability to achieve a matching baby pink shade akin to the precedent. Moreover, the adhesive nature of the soap-wax blend proves instrumental in capturing movements.
Designed for children and those embracing childlike innocence, this project serves as a testament to the irreplaceable essence of time. As individuals interact with the models, leaving behind traces of pink slime on surfaces, whether floors, walls, or even ceilings, it becomes a poignant record of their innocence and the sheer joy of uninhibited freedom.
