Life in the Box
In this project, I embark on a journey to redefine adaptive living for individuals within their domestic environments. My client's family, hailing from Sao Paulo, includes a mother who is not only an event planner but also a florist, necessitating a space to store both flowers and plants. Drawing inspiration primarily from my precedent case, Cluny Road Residence, which underscores the distinction between public and private spaces, I incorporate this notion into my design.
Moreover, light emerges as the cornerstone of this undertaking. Given the constrained space, our initial focus lies in creating an outdoor area to facilitate the ingress of light into the interior rooms. Subsequently, considering the mother's intent to accommodate plants and flowers, both of which thrive on sufficient lighting, I devise a three-story home positioned centrally within the plot, allowing the outdoors to envelop it entirely.
